Terms and Conditions
Last updated:
These Terms and Conditions ("Terms") govern your access to and use of the Triscience Labs website at trisciencelabs.com and any goods, documents, or services we supply through it. By browsing the site, registering an account, or placing an order, you confirm that you have read, understood, and agreed to these Terms. If you do not agree, you must not use the site or place an order. The Terms are entered into between you ("Buyer", "you") and Triscience Labs, a company organised under the laws of Switzerland ("Triscience", "we", "us", "our").
1. Acceptance and scope
By using this website or submitting an order you agree to be bound by the version of these Terms in force at the time. We may update the Terms occasionally; the version posted at trisciencelabs.com/terms is the operative one. Material changes are flagged with the "Last updated" date at the top of this page.
These Terms apply alongside our Privacy Policy and any product-specific documentation (Certificate of Analysis, Safety Data Sheet, label warnings) supplied with each product. Where there is a conflict between these Terms and a written contract signed by an authorised Triscience representative, the signed contract prevails.
2. Research-use-only restriction
All compounds offered by Triscience Labs are sold strictly as research-grade chemical reagents intended for in-vitro laboratory research by qualified professionals.
- They are NOT intended, labelled, packaged, formulated, or approved for human or veterinary clinical use, diagnostic use, in-vivo use in humans, food, dietary-supplement, or cosmetic use.
- They have not been reviewed or approved by the FDA, EMA, Swissmedic, MHRA, TGA, Health Canada, or any other regulatory authority for clinical use unless explicitly stated on the product page.
- Any decision to use these materials beyond their intended in-vitro research scope is taken solely by the Buyer, at the Buyer's sole risk, and outside the scope of these Terms.
3. Buyer warranties and qualifications
By placing an order, you represent and warrant that:
- You are at least 21 years of age and have full legal capacity to enter into binding agreements.
- You are a qualified researcher, an accredited laboratory, an academic institution, or a commercial research entity, and the goods are being acquired for legitimate scientific research only.
- You and any end-user are trained in the safe handling, storage, and disposal of laboratory chemicals and biological reagents and have the necessary equipment and facilities.
- You will comply with all applicable national, regional, and local laws and regulations covering import, biosafety, occupational health, hazardous-substance handling, anti-doping (e.g., WADA Prohibited List), export controls, and sanctions.
- You will not resell, redistribute, repackage, or relabel the products as foods, supplements, cosmetics, drugs, veterinary products, or for human consumption of any kind.
- The information you provide during registration and ordering is accurate, complete, and current.
4. Product information and availability
We make commercially reasonable efforts to publish accurate product specifications, structural data, references, and images. Triscience does not warrant that the information is free of typographical errors or that all references reflect the most recent literature, and we may correct, update, or withdraw any content without prior notice.
Stock levels, lead times, and prices are subject to change. Listing a product on the site is not a binding offer to sell; an order is accepted only when we issue a written order confirmation.
5. Orders, acceptance, and refusal
We reserve the right, at our sole discretion, to refuse, cancel, hold, or reduce any order. Reasons for refusal include but are not limited to: incomplete or inconsistent buyer credentials, suspected onward sale for human consumption, breach of these Terms, sanctions or export-control restrictions, suspected fraud, payment failure, supply constraints, or pricing errors.
If we cancel an order after payment has been taken, we will refund the affected amount to the original payment method without undue delay.
6. Pricing and payment
Prices on the site are stated in Swiss francs (CHF) unless explicitly noted otherwise and are exclusive of value-added tax (VAT), customs duties, and shipping fees, which are added at checkout in accordance with applicable law.
Payment is due in full at the time of order, by the methods offered at checkout, unless we have agreed in writing to alternative terms (for institutional or recurring buyers). We reserve the right to refuse or cancel any order if payment cannot be authenticated, is reversed, or is suspected of fraud. Where a manifest pricing error is identified before shipment, we may cancel the order and offer a corrected quote.
7. Shipping, customs, and risk of loss
Shipments are dispatched from Switzerland or, where applicable, from a partner facility in the European Economic Area. Estimated delivery times are indicative; we are not liable for delays caused by carriers, customs authorities, or events outside our reasonable control.
For international shipments, the Buyer acts as the importer of record and is solely responsible for ensuring that the products may be lawfully imported, for declaring the goods to the relevant customs authority, and for paying all duties, taxes, and clearance fees.
Risk of loss or damage passes to the Buyer when the goods are handed over to the carrier. If a shipment is seized, returned, or destroyed by customs or local authorities, the Buyer remains liable for the full purchase price and shipping fees.
8. Returns and refunds
Because peptide reagents are temperature- and stability-sensitive, returns are accepted only in narrowly defined circumstances:
- The product was shipped incorrectly (wrong item, wrong quantity) or arrived visibly damaged, and the issue is reported to us in writing within seven (7) days of delivery with photographic evidence.
- The product was demonstrably defective at the time of dispatch, with supporting analytical evidence provided by an accredited laboratory.
- Returned product was kept sealed, in its original packaging, under the storage conditions specified on the label, and is returned at the Buyer's cost using a tracked carrier.
9. Intellectual property
All content on this website — including text, graphics, logos, photographs, structural diagrams, technical descriptions, references, code, and the overall layout — is the property of Triscience Labs or its licensors and is protected by Swiss and international copyright, trademark, and database-right laws.
You may view and download content for your own internal, non-commercial research purposes. You may not reproduce, republish, scrape, repackage, or otherwise exploit any portion of the site for commercial purposes without our prior written consent. The "Triscience" name and logo are trademarks of Triscience Labs and may not be used without permission.
10. Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by Swiss law, Triscience's total aggregate liability arising out of or in connection with these Terms, the website, or any product supplied is limited to the amount paid by the Buyer for the specific order giving rise to the claim.
Triscience is not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages, including but not limited to loss of profit, loss of data, loss of reputation, business interruption, or loss arising from the use of products outside their stated research scope.
Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits liability that cannot be excluded under mandatory Swiss law (such as liability for gross negligence, intent, personal injury, or under the Swiss Product Liability Act).
11. Indemnification
You agree to defend, indemnify, and hold harmless Triscience Labs, its directors, employees, contractors, and affiliates from and against any claims, losses, damages, fines, penalties, or expenses (including reasonable legal fees) brought by a third party and arising out of or related to: (i) your breach of these Terms, including the research-use-only restriction in section 2 and the buyer warranties in section 3; (ii) your violation of any applicable law or regulation; (iii) any use of, exposure to, or harm caused by the products after they have left our facility, including any human, veterinary, or in-vivo use.
12. Privacy and data protection
Personal data you submit through the site or in connection with an order is processed in accordance with our Privacy Policy, which forms an integral part of these Terms. Please read it before using the site.
13. Changes to these Terms
We may amend these Terms at any time by posting an updated version at trisciencelabs.com/terms with a revised "Last updated" date. The amended Terms apply to any order placed after the effective date. For ongoing supply contracts, we will give reasonable notice of material changes by email.
14. Governing law and jurisdiction
These Terms and any dispute arising out of or in connection with them are governed by the substantive laws of Switzerland, excluding its conflict-of-laws rules and the United Nations Convention on Contracts for the International Sale of Goods (CISG).
The exclusive place of jurisdiction for any dispute is the competent courts at the registered seat of Triscience Labs in Switzerland, subject to any mandatory jurisdiction conferred on consumers under Swiss law.
15. Severability and entire agreement
If any provision of these Terms is held to be invalid or unenforceable, the remaining provisions remain in full force, and the invalid provision is to be replaced by a valid one that comes closest to the parties' original intent.
These Terms, together with the Privacy Policy and any product-specific documentation, constitute the entire agreement between you and Triscience regarding the use of the website and the supply of products. They supersede any prior agreement, representation, or understanding.
